ICON TUTORIAL BY BENJI'

we make this now:


so begin we open a new document in 100x100, with a transparent, or a background. position the stock so you want, like this.


now add a layer. fill it with color #242424. the blend mode set to Linear Dodge. you can play with the opacity.


here comes the hard part of tut (for beginners). Go to Layer -> New Adjustment Layer... -> Color Balance..., or on the layer table, click on the adjustmenst icon.
Set the details in Midtones. and you must see this.

Cyan Red
========[]================ -30
Magenta Green
============[]============ 0
Yellow Blue
==============[]========== +15

now go to here on Selective Color: go to the Reds detail and the Absolute: set the Cyan to +15
go to the Whites detail and the Absolute: set the Black to -50
go to the Blacks detail and the Absoulte: set the Cyan to +55

again make a new Selective Color layer: go to the Neutrals and select Relative: Cyan to +75
Yellow to +10
Black to -15

now make a new layer and fill with #ffe401 color. set to Multiply, opacity: 10%



now we add lightning: use the white 100px soft brush, and take a few dot by the border of icon. set to Overlay 50%.
now add a dot to the top with this but just a bit can see. Normal 100%

make a new layer and fill with #00feef on Soft Light 10%
another with color #0048fe, set to Overlay 15%



now we make the texts.
i use the font here Resrvoir Grunge. make a text (cristiano) with 40pt, and fill set to 0%, and add a white stroke 1px with white color on Overlay. set the opacity 55%.
now one with RServoir Grunge again, (ronaldo).
one with the team where he play, with black, but move a place, where its no too conspicous.
now add one with LeviBrush, in red. (cristiano.)



now add texture1, and texture2, to Color Dodge, by texture1 set the size smaller, and place it the icon.
the texture 2 place on in Color Dodge, and duplicate and rotate it, and Color Dodge too.

now its the outcome:
